Coffee Jesus is about death, obsession and the ordinariness of our daily lives. It is about the time we spend alone or with friends and the bravery of facing each day with a smile and a cup of coffee. It is about proving my existence with a camera.
The Coffee Jesus installation spans three years of documenting my coffee habit from 1999-2001. Daily photos, coffee cups, drawings, index cards with each date and special brew, and twinkle lights stretch 120 feet wide x 7 1/2 feet high across the gallery wall.
